Super Nova Stalker

Castle Stalker, Appin, Scotland

Big image for you since contrast is extreme. I don't mind telling you this was just sheer luck. A sunset of any sort was not predicted, it had just rained and everything was looking just a little bit sullen and unfriendly. For just two to three minutes the sky had a great gash torn through the fabric of dense cloud and the sun went nova and poured light through with rays radiating from the tear and the castle silhouetted under a sultry twilight blue sky. The hackles on the back of my neck stood to attention the experience quite simply electrifying.

Check out the new TRANSIENT LIGHT Photographic Holidays on my website together with a whole lot of other work at Transient Light.

The light coming through the tear in the clouds is very dramatic, it beautiful, I'm very curios though as what the object on the right is with the rectangular shape that's rising up out of the water, it reminds me of the monolith in 2001, please email me and tell me what ever it is?
