I have tried on several occasions to photograph this amazing place. The tidal lagoon turns turquoise in the right light and when the tide is optimal, the grasses and rocks are stunning when the sunlight shines on them and the mountains magnificent when not hidden from view beneath the clouds. For the briefest of moments a savage winter squall swept in from the sea and the sky turned almost midnight blue but sunlight still managed to find a way through and produce dappled lighting throughout my scene, the dark sky ensuring that lush turquoise hue. Seconds later we were engulfed and that quality of light never returned.
