Kinlochleven is very sheltered thanks to the proximity of the Mamores which huddle round the end of this tidal loch. The autumn colours were blazing beautifully with gold confetti birch and rust red bracken splashed across the background hills. The reflections on the mirror smooth surface duly doubled the effect and with a dusting of snow on the top of the hills the picture struck me as being largely complete.
