Scottish Gold

Loch Hakel, Sutherland, Scotland

Scottish gold is believed to be both very rare and of high purity. I understand that there is still some gold to be found in "dem dar hills". One summer evening I was lucky enough to find not a few flecks but a whole gold bar. The rich vein of gold crossed the entire width of mighty Ben Loyal contrasting starkly against the twilight blue and its reflection in Loch Hakel. Incidentally this is not a tidal loch the tide rims around the exposed rocks are present because of the unusually benign conditions, Loch Hakel was diminishing by the day.

All three of my last uploads were taken within an 8 hour period.

NEW!! Photographic workshops and masterclasses and fine art cards are now available at TRANSIENT LIGHT
