Winter Twilight Ardvreck

Ardvreck Castle, Assynt, Scotland

I adopted a quite unusual viewpoint to include both Ardvreck castle and the double gable ended walls of the old relic of Calda house. Eventually I found a point precariously close to the edge of a crag where I could separate the silhouetted spit of land and Ardvreck castle from the mainland yet still include the Quinag and Calda house tucked into the corner. It was then a matter of waiting until the sky coloured up at dusk which fortunately it did with much gusto.
