I think it is true to say that we landscape photographers all want to have the opportunity to photograph fresh snow but sometimes on lead grey days and heavy overcast skies for all the colour that is visible you might just as well load a black and white film. This was one such day, the ribbon of water in a double cascade was very nice and the flow of water just right but it was very monochromatic except for the colours evident in the splash pool which were teal, blue and red thanks to the water, ice and red rocks. A polariser clarified the colours immensely.
