Silent Light Staffin

Staffin Bay, Skye, Scotland

Staffin is a beach I am always drawn too. It is backed by fluted cliffs composed of basalt columns and those self same cliffs offer reasonable protection from some of the worst weather that Skye is inclined to throw at you. As the tide goes out bright green weed covered terraces are revealed and if you look carefully you may come across dinosaur footprints in the bedrock. Those that haven't been stolen!! I waited ages for this quiet light to filter through dark clouds and after nearly two hours of waiting I got what I was after.

NEW!! Photographic workshops and masterclasses and fine art cards are now available at TRANSIENT LIGHT

You were well rewarded for your wait, just beautiful. What an amazing landscape, so different from the wide sandy beachs we have here in Audtralia.
