Cherry On The Top

Achnahaird Bay, Inverpolly, Scotland

This is my absolute favourite skyline in the whole of Scotland and it never fails to fill me with that sense of anticipation particularly at the break of a new day. This was one sunrise that didn't disappoint rich rosy red streaks peppered a cloudy sky with that familiar serated skyline, including Cul Mor, Stac Pollaidh and the mountains of the Coigach brooding beneath. If the scene were a glorious layered cake that sky would have to be the cherry on the top.
