Whilst visiting the Blue Mountains from Katoomba I awoke to thick mist and fog which was so dense that it obscured my primary reason for visiting the place namely the view over the mountains from Echo Point and the Three Sisters peaks. Whilst disappointed by the planned sunrise visit I must admit to being rather pleased at finding this beautiful vibrant looking parrot staring back at me from a mist shrouded woodland, its plumage only slightly muted. Its become one of my personal favourite nature shots.
