I spent a memorable week on the Western Isles in Harris and Lewis experiencing the sort of wild weather and transient light that enthralls me most as a landscape photographer. Monstrous waves pummelled this most beautiful of South Harris beaches folding white surf over golden sand beneath a typical dawn of time Atlantic sky close to sunset. The fabulous blue of twilight reflecting light on the spume, intermingling with the reflected light from a barely concealed sun. Dream light!!
