Ring Wraith

Rannoch Moor, Glencoe, Scotland

I've always felt that this is such a bare bones landscape and the skeletal tree one of the largest on rannoch moor still standing, serves to emphasise the bleak nature of Rannoch moor. The tree can be aligned at its most favourable angle with the mighty Buachaille in this case surrounded by a ring of mist which neatly shows the snow capped peak pushing through it.

NEW!! Photographic workshops and masterclasses and the 2011 Transient Light Calendars are now available at TRANSIENT LIGHT
