Loch Clair Blush

Loch Clair, Torridon, Scotland.

One morning at loch Clair I witnessed the astonishing sight of the bulk of Liathach still covered in residual winter snow turn pink at first light. At first it glowed and then slowly the direct light of a red sun turned it from the cerise colour you see here to red then orange and finally yellow. This was my favourite moment though as the lavender blue of twilight filters down from directly above and suffuses the ice with a mixture of blushing pink and steel blue.

Must have been a great moment to witness, but conveyed superbly here.
Even the little cloud on the summit adds to composition

I am in awe of this shot. After a disastrous sunrise attempt a couple weeks ago, I'm just blown away by this. Well done!!!
