Winter Curtain

Loch Eilean, Cairngorm, Scotland

This is probably the most interesting and exciting conditions that I have witnessed this little lochan plunged into. Thick snow over two feet deep covered everything bowing trees and transforming the familiar. During the course of the day the clouds parted and left a truly magnificent sky in its wake. The long raking golden light bouncing off the underbelly of clouds is such an opposite hue to the blue sky that has reflected onto the pillows of snow at the edge of the loch.

You were gifted with the clear water patch for the reflection, but you have made a magnificent job of utilizing it.
