A recent commission shoot to the Eildon hills in the borders and a pleasant morning diversion to Melrose Abbey. I don't often photograph architecture of any sort but on this occasion it was so picturesque I decided to show it with strong sidelighting and with full autumn regalia. The most difficult thing is preventing any distortion of verticals when using wide angle lenses so the lens had to be kept completely parallel to the ground which meant I had to find a good foreground lead into the abbey.
NEW!! Photographic workshops and masterclasses at TRANSIENT LIGHT.
