My favourite Scottish beach by some considerable margin. Maybe its the indigo mountain backdrop, maybe its the windblown desolate perfection of this most beautiful of places. I always feel I can just melt into the place and that photography is purely incidental. Whatever the reason this is low tide at the mouth of a small peat stream that twice a day cuts a new path through the caramel soft sand on its way to salt water oblivion. The soft colours are at their most beguiling and satisfying just before dawn.
