Isola d'Elba, Italy

Summer of 2007, we spent our holidays on the island of Elba, taking the ferry from Piombino to Porto Ferraio. A wonderful summer, a great time, and among the many family pictures a few that reflect the mood of this wonderful place. On our last day, I had my D40, the 24-120 VR and my SB 600 flash stolen from right under my seat. Sh.. happens, such is life. Luckily, I had copied all of my pictures to my hard drive every evening.

All pictures converted from NEF to JPG with Picasa 2. Not the perfect tool, but quick and easy to use, even if noise and sharpness are much worse than results of Nikons own software. Need to get Capture NX one day... (as Nikon Picture Project and Nikon View NX both miss some very basic tools).
