I bought my first SLR camera around 1977. It was the Canon TX with a 50mm 1.8 - Breech-lok mount lens. I later added a Black AE-1 & a winder & some off brand lenses - an Eitar(?) 28mm & a 200mm & 300mm Soligor, all of which I sold about 2 years later, as they were Not top quality lenses. In 1980, I bought a New F-1 with eye-level finder & a 5fps motor drive, which I really liked. I eventually sold the AE-1 & bought a 2nd New F-1, with the same finder & motor drive, & later on, I added the T90. Lenses I owned were all Canon: 24mm 2.8, 28mm 2.8SSC, 35mm 2.0, 50mm 1.8, 85mm 1.8, 135mm 2.5(which I later sold with the TX & a spare 50mm 1.8); 200mm 4.0, 300mm 4.0, 80-200mm 4.0L & a 1.4x teleconverter. I also owned beginning in 1981, a Mamyia 645J, & a Mamiya 1000S, both with eye level finders - lenses were a 45mm f2.8, 80mm f2.8, 150mm f3.5 & 210mm f.40. I shot 120 Medium format Chromes, some Black & White & various color negative film, until I got to where I had focus issues with my eyes as I aged. The Mamiyas replaced an old Yashica Mat 124G. In 2003, I sold off my Mamiya gear, then my FD gear & my first auto focus body was the EOS-3 along with the 50mm 1.8 & the 28-135IS lenses, both of which I still have today. That summer, I bought an Elan 7 for color negs & some Provia 400F. Today, this camera sits on a shelf. I still have the EOS-3 which I rarely use, but I Never plan on getting rid of it. I also added a Canon 20-35mm zoom & a 75-300mm IS - both of which have been sold - I replaced the 20-35mm with the 17-40L & the 75-300 with the 70-300mm IS. In September 2003, I bought a Canon Digital Rebel, which I still have & it gets occasional use. In April 2003, I bought the Canon 30D, & later the Tamron 28-75mm f2.8(now sold) & I also added the 24-105L IS lens, & in January 2009, I bought the Canon 50D. I also own a Canon Powershot G7 which I bought in early 2007, which is very reliable & I use it sometimes to take into places where I don't want to use my DSLR's. In late December 2012, I bought the New Canon Powershot G15 which I am using when I can & the weather permits - mostly outoors & some indoors. I am Keeping my G7, as it still does great work.
My flash line-up: Canon 430EX, Metz 54-AF1C, & an old Sunpak 522, which works with all of my DSLR's. My Bags are Lowepro - 4 of which are discontinued, & I just recently added a Vanguard Messenger Bag to my lineup. All 3 of my Tripods are Bogen/Manfrotto - 3021N Silver with a 3030QR head; a 3021BN Black with a 3265 Grip-action ball head, an older set of 3221 legs which need repair, an old 3126 small video head, & a Bogen/Manfrotto 3128 Monopod which I rarely use. My Media is all Sandisk.
