"THE BIG ADVENTURE" - 14 PUPPIES ON THEIR WAY TO A FOREVER HOME
Two days after Christmas 2011, fourteen puppies left Calloway County with volunteers of the Humane Society of Calloway County, to travel to Clarksville, Tennessee, to start their "Big Adventure" in finding a forever home in the state of New York. After being checked-in at Clarksville, they will travel to New York to the North Shore Animal League until they are adopted into forever homes. Animal overpopulation is the reason the puppies can't stay here locally. That's why it is so important to spay and neuter pets so that unwanted puppies and kittens aren't produced. It costs the Humane Society of Calloway County approximately $280.00 ($20.00/puppy) to have these fourteen puppies accepted into the program. That doesn't count the gasoline to transport them to Clarksville. That is money that the society won't recover and money that can't be spent caring for animals here in Calloway County, so please, spay and neuter your pets. If you're interested in helping fund this worthy program, you can donate from the homepage of our website at www.ForThePets.org. Thanks!
