RIBBON

Ribbon came into the custody of the Humane Society of Calloway County on 1-31-09. He was named for the ribbons of infected, rotted, flesh that were hanging down from where his ears should have been. The humane society provided the veterinary care that he needed and began working to find him a safe and forever home. Fifteen days later, Ribbon met his new 'family' and flew to Long Beach, New York, to become the mascot for Rescue Ink. Ribbon's adoption was filmed by the National Geographic Channel to air later this year. Learn more about Rescue Ink at www.RescueInk.org. The hairless areas around his head, neck, chest, and front legs, are scar tissue from the brutal torture that he was put through before coming to the humane society. Ribbon deserved a much better life than what he had up until 1-31-09 and now he's got it!
