My first trip to Brazil was with John Rowlett of Field Guides. This trip was designed to study the endemic birds of the Atlantic Forest, and we were based at the wonderful Serra dos Tucanos lodge. We were essentially in the Tres Picos State Park, and were close to many very birdy trails. Field trips included Serra dos Orgaos National Park, Portal Azul and REGUA.
