The reception was a more "Americanized" part of the whole evening. They had a wedding cake cutting and the First Dance. There was also a dance floor complete with a DJ (all Indian music) with a couple of dance performances by two members of the families.
I guess the reception didn't mean that the whole wedding ceremony was over. At the very end when everyone was leaving the hall, there was something called Bidaai where the bride was bidding farewell to her family for the last time. This seems to be a very emotional moments for the bride and her family (I heard it can really get loud in some cases).
Oh, I don't have any pictures between the First Dance and Biddai because I was busy dancing, so don't assume the evening ended just like that. :p Tina's friends from the college were extremely energetic and wonderful partiers.
