Tysoe

The conjoined villages of Upper (or Over) Tysoe,
Middle (or Church) Tysoe, and Lower (or Temple) Tysoe;
nestling between Stratford-upon-Avon and Banbury.



Arthur Mee, in The King's England (1949), describes them thus:
"It is three places. Lower Tysoe has a few houses; Upper Tysoe has a great hollow tree [no longer]
in which a dozen men can stand; Middle Tysoe has a handsome church full of wonderful things.
Within its parish stands the famous house called Compton Wynyates, one of the most
historic homes in Warwickshire, set in a lovely scene."
