Find anything pheasant...
11 January 2006 (117)

Fovant, Salisbury, UK

How come all the interesting animals that appear at the back of the cottage do so when the sun isn't shining on them;
and my camera and lenses aren't readily to hand...?!? (Or worse, like this one, when I'm washing up;
and am then forced to take photos through the kitchen window?!?)

I'd been given a set of three of these bird-feeders (red, orange and yellow) for Christmas; and wondered why they were being emptied so quickly!
I'd assumed it was greedy blackbirds, or some clever trick being played by my 'pet' ducks, Posh and Beaks....

Nice shot Stephen. Dont complain about the sun not shining on them, I have some close-ups that I took of one in the Summer with the sun right on it (not in my gallery yet) and because their feathers are almost irridesent they are tricky in sunlight ;-)

Well caught, we get them in our garden, but they don't stay around when the camera comes out, great names for the ducks btw.

He's clocked you, cheeky thing. I can't understand why I don't get any in my garden ??? ;-) Nice, I wouldn't have known it was shot through a window.
