Skyline

Isle of Wight, Hampshire, UK

St Catherine's Hill isn't really a very suitable place for a lighthouse, as it's frequently obscured by mist (as it was when we first arrived...).
The present-day lighthouse -- built shortly after the wreck of the Clarendon in 1837 -- is therefore situated on the coast
at the foot of the Undercliff, just to the west of Niton.
