This is a 1500 sf or so 80's townhome on the East side of Columbus. I want to focus on the living room area and the flow from the living room to stairwell and kitchen areas.
On the positive side, the first floor has all oak flooring and is pretty neutral(Bruce hardwood Gunstock). What I don't like is the cheap boxy 'condo' feeling I get, particularly the stairwell and hall area that form the West view of the living room.

I want to use my existing furnishings (family antiques) and a neutral color scheme. Since the kitchen and stairwell/hallway are visible from the living room, I need an integrated color/design scheme that unites all three areas.
