I think the pic looks very nice, nothing pornographic about it at all... nudity <> pornographic... its tastefully done and is by no means the focus of the picture. I like the glow effect around the hair... very warm... its beautiful

Thanks Pepe. The frame is from a large mirror that is at the foot of the bed. I'll have to rememeber that next time.

Nicely done. There is a frame on the upper right side that is distracting.

Thank-you John and everyone else who commented, even Brian, who misunderstands the purpose of this photo. I am also a PBase supporter, twice. My wife, whose "bare essence" is captured here is also a PBase supporter. I respect Brian's opinion, but the choice of content for my PAD gallery is mine and mine alone.

With all due respect to Brian Rodger, I must disagree that this is not an appropriate subject for a PAD project, … it is not vulgar, offensive or pornographic in any way. In America, Benjamin Franklin said over two hundred years ago “If you love your work, you will never work again.” What better subject to concentrate on than a beloved wife, … a willing partner that also happens to be quite beautiful and photogenic. The purpose of the PAD as I understand it is to give each and every one of us the opportunity to develop our skills with the camera, … technical and artistic. What nicer way to turn “Work” into “Joy” than to photograph the one you love in the way that you see her / him? I’ve been a professional photographer for 25 years, … and I started my career doing what I loved the most, … taking either nude or clothed portraits of my beautiful red-haired wife. This beautiful image is no more offensive or vulgar than I am an astronaut capable of going outside and flapping my arms and flying to the moon. There are many many artists on PBase that choose to show female or male nudity on their daily PAD, and frankly many of them are not worth looking at for there is a total lack of technical skill or artistic value in the image. But this is MY opinion, … and I’m sure that each of these folks feels in their own heart that their image does indeed have merit and worth. In MY opinion, as a man, as a PBase supporter and as professional photographer, this image shows a clear and concise understanding of what we’re here for, … a search for quality and artistic beauty in our images and a daily struggle to improve our skills. (I’ll get off my soap box now.)

The lighting is excellent Ray, very nice work.

I agree, but do not think it is approriate for the PAD meta gallery, a private gallery with a 'warning contains nudity' notice would be more appropriate for pbase.

Beautiful. Warm, sensual and motherly at the same time.
