Hi again HL,

Glad that you have the book:) Good work from those British photographers.

There was another publication by a group of Japansese Architectural Students from Keio university . It narrates in details from their personal experience in KWC for one whole month! Lucky guys :) But they were there only after it was vacated...about 3 months before it was tron down. Unfortunately, their website is no longer existent. I will try to find out more pics on KWC and will keep you and anyone interested updated.:)

I started my photography exercise since Oct 2003. The photographs of Kowloon Walled City is also the collection I dreamed. I have one book called "City of Darkness - Life in Kowloon Walled City" which is photographed by Greg Girard and Ian Lambot. If you find any web site about the Kowloon Walled City, hope you can share with me !

Do you happen to own any photographs of Kowloon Walled City before it was vacated in 1991 and torn down in Jan 93?

I am looking for pictures of KWC to depict the daily life of its residents.

Dear H.L. Tam, I have been a fan of your work since I first started using pbase. If you don't mind could you tell me how you took your candid pictures? I am still curious the way that you can get so up close and personal with them without them realizing about it (at least they are not looking towards you...). I know that you did not use a long zoom lens to do this...

Thanks for visiting my photography exercises and for nice comment. You are welcome to Hong Kong. The use of aperture in each shot depends on which camera I used. Most of them will be f4 in Canon DC.

HL, very nice gallery! I really like your work. Especially the sketchwork in Hong Kong. Since you're shooting urban life, a lot of high rise building surrounding the objects. What aperture do you usually use? I'm going to HK in Sep and I don't want to haul all the lens. Would like to bring 2 lens with me. Thanks.
