Storks are in several areas of Spain and in Extremadura quite many. There are many manmade places where the storks can build their nests. Even on masts setup for high voltage powerlines there are usually a specially designed construction on top where the storks can build their nest. Also around newly built constructions there are often poles with a construction on top for nest building. Likely this is to avoid storks building their nests in undesired places.
