New York is Book Country

October 2, 2004. Today was the opening day of the NY is Book Country show at Washington Square. Previous years it has been held on midtown 5th Avenue and adjacent side streets. This is just a quick series of random snapshots of what I saw.

October 3, 2004. Returned to the book festival today to find all street booths removed. The park and NYU plaza displays stayed on for the second day. There was a very long line for Julie Andrews and her co-author's autographs. I added a few new photos to the gallery and included some shots of the used books for sale on the year around stands on West 4th Street.
