She told me that they were inspired by visits to the LaGuardia Corner Gardens at Bleecker and LaGuardia Place in Greenwich Village, NYC.

She stated that the "paintings represent the beginning of my long term commitment to express the color, variety and nuances of the life of garden plots like these.
I'm in love with LaGuardia Corner Community Garden. I paint it in a abstract manner and hope that my painting lyricism translates into the joy it gives me."
