About this setup, I do use the etx base only just for imaging. My maxcope is piggy backed on the etx optical tube on a dew cap from apogee inc (I don't want to scratch my etx) The etx have a white light filter, so, I have the white light image and the H alfa, side by side, it's great and ultra portable. I always keep them together in an old video camera bag. ready to use in 1 minute.
One more thing, my etx is a R.A. not a Electronic Controlled.
the complete setup it's to heavy for the RA motor, when I image I have to remove the etx OTA and setup the Maxcope through the etx fork mount with a custom made adaptor ( I made it with some parts from photographic accessories and aluminum components).
