This is Marsh Pride male # 2, the one with the fresh
cuts on the side of his face. He's been feeding on
a wildebeest kill in the marsh grass and just crested
this knoll to go to water.

He paused when he saw one of his coalition males
in the distance. Photographing these beautiful
males in warm light was probably the highlight
of our first trip to Africa.
