As of may 31 2011 mine has new owner and heavy door installed.

As of Feb 2010 mine has new owner -- gated and locked with no trespassing sign.

Does anyone know if this mine is still closed or is the gate open and the mine accessible again?

Good pics of the mine.
On a sad note the mine has been bought and the new owners
installed a steel gate on the entrance. So collecting is done
at this spot. The gate was up as of 5/18/08.

Very interesting to see pictures from that Mine.
I would have too much fear going into the underground.

by the way, you must move with soft steps--I always haloes when the flash reflects back from the dust in the air...
