For details of the course, visit the AP Website http://www.amateurphotographer.com/ and have a look at the discussion forum, especially the section in which students are talking about their progress. I posted images from the Modules as I worked through the course which I began in February 2005. I didn't include any Module2 images as I thought and still think my pictures were too boring; the exercises were quite tricky though. I have just received (23 May 2007) my results for the final module and have my diploma for passing the course. I very much enjoyed the experience and despite having been a photographer for around 60 years I think my working methods have improved enormously as a result. Looking at my images I don't think my view of the world and the appearance of my pictures (when successful) have changed much, which is hardly surprising at my age, but I find I am taking more pictures, missing fewer opportunities and wasting far less material as the result of adopting a much more disciplined approach. Many thanks to my tutor Garry for guiding and often, of necessity, pushing me down that road! I can strongly recommend this course to anyone who wants to improve the quality of their work and increase the enjoyment they get out of their picture making.
