I and the model I took to Las Vegas JUST GOT BACK FROM LAS VEGAS: THE JUNE SHOOT THE CENTERFOLD SEMINAR IN LAS VEGAS promised to be the event of the year for both Photographers and Models. With 4 current / former Playboy photographers attending to guide other photographers for 2 days, and 3 Playmate of the Months from PBI to guide models for 2 days .. everyone wins................ AND WE DID WIN ... overall this was a fantastic experience. A bit of warning though, it's AGE RESTRICTED by STC to the age of 21 or older. I am not sure why but I think it was the State Law issue with the casino Tropicana the event was held in. Having said that, I think they ignored my model (age 19) but she attended the photographers meetings with / without me and networked that way.

I shot with numerous models, like about 10 or so, including 3 playmates of the month in 2010 (Kassie Lyn Logsdon Miss May, Shanna Marie McLaughlin Miss July, and Ashley Hobbs Miss December) and the lovely Model Adele (omp#62652) from Boston., U better believe this was worth the money ... one on one with Arny Freytag, Jarmo Pohjaniemi, and David Mecey.
}}}}}}}}}}}}} I met Gary Cole (Director of Playboy International Photography Division since 1975) and sat down with him while he evaluated HGRP's portfolio .. comments were "you've been busy, and we'd like you to send us some pics of some of your hot models" ...Mr. Cole also had some helpful suggestions in shooting in the bamboo forest. Then I met with Jeff Cohan, also the director of Special Editions for PBI, and he's the man who sets up the PBI Casting Calls. He liked my portfolio too, and gave me some helpful suggestions in shooting with the Jail. {{{{{{{


I also learned a lot of tid bits on shooting PBI style .. and things will improve here at HGRP ... big time implovements in the finer points of lighting a set and then the model. More $$$ to be spent on MUA's is coming here too. Anyway, it was worth the effort to go ... the days were long so Bunny and I took another day to recoup here in Vegas ..

David Mecey was very nice to my model guest. Mr. Mecey is no longer with PBI (16 yrs tenure) but is working independantly with major publications. He also is the owner / chief instructor for Precision Driving School .. which is why he and she became buddies .. she loves to race cars.

When you are invited to attend a function like this, don't screw it up by not showing up 2 hours before we leave ... DO show up the day BEFORE to get briefed and rehearsed ... Don't stay up 36 hrs straight thinking you can sleep on the plane .. You Cannot count on that ... this is a ONCE IN A LIFETIME OPPORTUNITY .. don't blow it. Forget your boyfriend for 3-4 days ... he will survive. Coming a day ahead allows us to match wardrobe and make you look your best... not like a Vegas Hooker who threw something together cause you were tired ......... just words of wisdom.
