Rawalakot is situated in the heart of district Poonch. The altitude of this beautiful saucer-shaped valley is 1615m, and is situated 76 Km from Kohala. During summer, the place becomes full of green grass and beautiful flowers including many varieties of roses. Find it on Google Earth (you must have Google Earth installed)

My Name is Ahsan Raza Khan And I once lived at Rawalakot for four years from 1988 to 1992. I was Student of University of Agriculture Rawalakot and I graduated in Plant Breeding & Genetics. My supervisor was Nawaz Gardezi. My uncle Dr. Muhammad Fasahat Ali Khan was once Dean of this university. I am Karachi based. My best friends were Aurengzeb, Shakeel, Asghar, Javed Ahmed Karr, Kafeel, Rafiq etc. I love this place. This place is the most beutiful place on earth. I wish that Icould see Rawalakot again with my kids, Mehrunnisa Khanum and Abdur Rehman Khan.

Jeet Kumar there are so many Rest Houses and Hotels in Rawalakot you can come through Friendship Bus from Sarinagar to Muzafarabad and then Muzafarabad to Rawalakot and other places of Azad Kashmir This is only the procedure to come to Azad Kashmir Sagheer Qureshi Poonchi from Karachi

I am Jeet Kumar, was born in KOTLI, Mirpur now, in POK. before partition, My Late Mother was from Poonch, she use to tell many a things for Plandree, Rawalakot, Baghan etc. Though, I have seen Poonch but not the other Places, I am over joyed to see the Photos of Rawalakot.. just beautiful, is there any place to stay for 10-15 days ? how to reach there could you help me ? last month i visited Rawlakot and after short stay we went to Banjosa Lake, the site seen are beautifull but the condition of water of the lake is so dirty and giving bad impression to the visitors. I also stayed at the guest house build near the bank of the late, for some hours and took rest. After that we proceeded to Muzafarabad through Arja and Dheer Kot the road condition was very poor but the site seens were so beautifull.
