This is a prominent fort in Muzaffarabad dating back several centuries. On the day I turned up to see this fort, it was closed. Apparently some officer from the Tourism dept was visiting the office, so they closed down the fort to the public. Unfortunately, the visit of some officer was deemed more important than the visiting public and loss of income on the day. Members of public, tourists, students of history and photographers, like me, were turned away just to entertain some civil servant.
