Cross

Cross is a small town situated between Islamgarh and Mirpur. It is named so because of the two main roads, from Khuiratta (via Charohi) and Kotli (via Gulpur and Chakswari), meet here.

Zahoor sahib, as explained at the top, this place is called Cross near Islamgarh (formerly Akalgarh). There are 2 roads that currently go to Mirpur from the north. One goes from Kotli via Gulpur and Chakswari onto Kakra Town and then Mirpur. The other one starts at Khoiratta and goes via Dhungi, Charohi and Kaladab and onto Kakra Town and Mirpur. These two roads meet here at this place called Cross, just before Kakra Town.
Incidently there is a large project now in full swing which will see a major highway being built from Mirpur over Mangla Dam through Dadyal and onto Kotli.
