Lenny started life as my daughter's cat Lancaster. I housesat for her for two weeks and could not remember his name...only that it started with an "L". So I named him Lenny for conductor Lenny Bernstein, who was born and raised in the area. To the day he died he answered to both names.

That day was Wednesday, January 9, 2012. Lenny had started to hide away at Christmas, and it was clear he had an advanced tumor. His last few days he did not come out at night to eat and drink, as he had previously....we thought he may have died. But by the time my daughter found out where he was hiding and retrieved him, it was apparent he was paralized. I had the doc put him to sleep the nex day .... rest in piece, Lenny. You're 13 years of companionship will always be dear to me.
