Although it’s sad to see the abandonment of this housing, it still brings back so many wonderful memories! Anyone know why it was abandoned? My family lived @ 208-A Karen Drive from 78-81. Día Neds and Mandy Wood were my best friends. Me and Dia, my brother, and others would spend our days outside exploring and riding our dirt bikes. Most me metal time of my childhood. I think I remember there were dances at the Rec center, right? I miss the carefree boonie stomping adventures we had as kids. As long as we got home around dusk we had nothing to worry about. No cell phones, no social media, just living it up outdoors everyday!

Lived on Karen drive as a teen from 77-80. Great memories! Hiking down to the beach... walking up the the recreation center (called it the butt butt, guess it was really the butler bldg LOL!). Involved with the FAA teen club led by a wonderful woman we called Coke, because it was her favorite drink. Dia I’m thinking you know who this is!

I lived on Karen dr from 76-81. My sister dated Raymond Cahill. I knew Andy Mall, Robbie Stark, Chris Medina and Greg Cox and many others...sure do miss that old area. Had a lot of fun over there. Wonder what happened to the Marcella sisters Jody, Jill, and Jeanie...

We lived there on Guam from 1967 to 1977. We attended Harry S Truman elementary school and Finegayan Elementary and St Anthony Catholic jr high and Dedeedo high school. We started out in Apra Heights and then moved to Ocean View. We weathered typhoon Pamela and watched outdoor movies on the side of that government building.

We lived through 1976. Left shorty after typhoon Pamela detroyed the island. We still didn't have power restored when we left. The military was providing generators to pump water from wells all over the island as I recall.
Lived on the last duplex on South Ocean view drive, right accross the street from the house with the circle parking (some managers house?) Wish there was a map to look at over the area. Remember playing in the big mowed fields, jungle and sitting in drainage ditches next to the roads when rainy season rains would send water rushing down them.

Jill Lassen, I lived next door to your family & was friends w/ Andrea. Were Mr & Mrs Lassen ur grandparents? They were so nice! I remember Mr. Lassen building a boat in the carport from scratch.

There is a bomb shelter in the basement of that building, wonder if its still there.

Lived in FAA Housing on Oceanview Drive from 1964-1968. We had started the FAA Teen Club and spent a lot of time at the NCS Beach. It was an amazing time.

My wife and family (3 kids) lived in this housing area from 1967 to 1972. We live on both south and north ocean view drs.

I had no idea the housing was torn down. We were there during the B-52 runs to Vietnam. I worked at Andersen AFB.

What I'd call the FAA office building. I'd walk to it from my house on Oceanview to visit my dad on occasion. He was the area manager way back then.

The old FAA northern Oceanview FAA housing, on Ague Point (360 feet elevation), was located 1.2 miles west of route 3.

Jill Lassen,
FAA building is midway (3/4 mile) between the main road (route 3) and the FAA housing area Oceanview. There is a second FAA building about 215 feet east of the main building. The Oceanview housing area was razed in 1997 if I recall correctly. Today, it is a open field with nice views out into the Philippine Sea.

What building was this exactly? My Grandpa worked at the IFSS building from 1963-1973 and we stumbled upon these pictures and he doesn't recognize this building. What happened to FAA housing?
