Back in 1985-86 I served with an Army Warrant Officer -- JAG Type---CWI Roland Taitano from Guam. Good man and I enjoyed working with him. Here are the two photos. The question I have is about the one where my father...an Air Force Captain flying Air Sea Rescue is carving initials at Iwo. I cannot find a photo anyplace that reflects the images on the left of soldiers raising the flag.

It is interesting to look at all of the other carvings on the rock. Not to be done but still a part of history. Let me know if you have any clues on this.
