Joop's Dog Log - Sunday June 12

What do cows want... really?
These cows on former Schokland Island kept following me on my walk.
They must have liked my colours and seen a leader in me.
Alright then:
"Move 'em on, head 'em up, head 'em up, move 'em on, move 'em on, head 'em up, Rawhide
Count 'em out, ride 'em in, ride 'em in, count 'em out, count 'em out, ride 'em in, Rawhide!
Keep movin', movin', movin', though they're disapprovin'
Keep them dogies movin', Rawhide!" (... thanks Frankie)

Schokland used to be an island in the 'Zuiderzee' (Southern Sea) with several villages on it,
but since this section of the sea was reclaimed in the 1930s it's an island surrounded by land.
Strange sight. It looks like a big hill in the flat Dutch farm land.

Oh, they must have been envious of your compact size and ability to move so much more quickly than them. :-) Cute photo!

Wow, Holstein (aka Fresian) cows with matching dog.
Great combination and a great photograph.
Best wishes,
John (ex Veenendaal now living in Australia)
