Joop in Norway #01
Hello everybody, I just returned home after my journey to the Land of the Midnight Sun.
My first foreign trip!
I sure had a great vacation in Norway. So many new smells, so many strange places to check.
Made long walks along big wide fjords and climbed up on tall mountains with my humans.
Met some friendly Viking doggies, they were easy to get along with.
But the Norwegian humans are really different from the Dutch. They have more white hair,
bigger heads, taller bodies, but less talk and softer voices.
They are modest I guess, and a little shy perhaps. And they don`t laugh much.
If I hadn`t been along they might have said nothing al all to my humans.
But a dog gets them talking!
Norwegian humans work hard and take life very seriously.
They drill many long mountain tunnels everywhere for their cars.
They paint their houses each year, always clean up their yards,
and keep all their rooms shipshape. Everything must be decent and clean.
They also made a law that sais dogs should ALWAYS be on a leash in Norway,
always and everywhere. Guess I broke that law a couple of times...
What else? I had a summer holiday love affair (I`ll introduce you to Nelly later).
Marked many old buildings. Visited friends in Bergen city to see their new baby.
Slept in the warm sun on the southern fjord beaches.
Rode a scenic railroad and a cable tram and sailed on many ferry boats.
Lived in our camper. Got a lot of cookies.
But now I`m DOG tired...
