Joop's Dog Log - Wednesday May 26

Doing the dog thing.
Got in the car early this morning. Took my other human to the train station.
We made it just in time. She travels a lot.
I hate to see her go in that big noisy thing. You never know what will happen.
But she won`t listen.
My human doesn`t seem to worry. So that`s what I do. I worry.
I wait. I keep my paws crossed. I`ll be on the lookout.
So far she has always come back. But that doesn`t prove she will come back this time.
So I get to worry again today. It`s one of the things I`m good at.
Can`t wait for our pack to be whole and united again...

Moin Joop! You are as early as we are and why that? Ha, just that reason: our boss also drives a lot by car, he always tell us that he is visiting his customers to give them technical advice for improoving the output of their woodworking machinery. Doing this he is earning the money to buy us those cans with dogsfood, treats, cookies and all the other few important things in life. But one difference: he doesn`t want us to jump into his holy Audi - clients do not like to sit in sand, fur and mud with thier
blazers....Don`t need to worry, Joop! Humans who do drive ver often are profis of the road otherwise they would not be good at their jobs!

Joop, you are such a lucky dog because your car goes so well with your colors. Your people obviously love you a lot to get you this car. It`s so natural to worry about people who go away. I`ll keep by fingers crossed with your paws.

Oh, Joop, you and Our Harry would make a great team. You could pace paths in the carpet, worrying. The only good thing about such concern is the glee with which you welcome back the pack. And I know about worrying, too. Doesn`t help to tell you that there`s nothing to worry about, does it? Well, just try not to make yrself sick, good buddy. And have a great time when all yr humans are home again!

Don`t worry little Joop, I believe your human is a good driver, with a good car, and a responsible person! She loves both of you very much and cares about you as well. She`ll be safe, God`s watching over her all the time! Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Hey Joop, i know exactly how you feel. Even when my humans go to work I`m worried about them. They are so precious to us that we want to stay close to them all the time. When my human Elô went to Portugal, she stayed there for 6 months. I got very sick and I couldn`t eat because I`ve missed her a lot. But now she`s here and I know she`s not going anywhere... at least not that far again... And what about your bosslady? Where did she go this time?? I`ll pray for her to come back home safe ok? And you have a friend in me for a lifetime ok?? I might be far away from where you live, but I always remember of you!! Take care! au au au Nicki

Yes, that`s the real dog thing: to keep the whole pack united! Billy is doing always the same. And on Friday we will be finally all together when Geli leaves the hospital.

my brother`s golden retriever used to sit at the gate of the yard, open or shut, and wait the day away whenever my brother went away, for a few days each time - even with three or four other dogs to keep him company. i hope you have more fun than he did, joop. try to think of it as time alone for the boys : )

NICE car, Joopster! I have never seen you look so small and vulnerable, with your little front paws up like that. Suddenly I`m thinking of how heartbreakingly adorable you must have been as a puppy!!!! -Sarah.

Oh, sweet Joop, don`t worry too much. I can tell through your log that your humans are kind and caring, and no one like that would leave a wonderful dog like you behind! So, she`ll definitely come back. And maybe she`ll bring you cookies! :)

One very simple question, dear Joop. Are you echoing the worries of your human who stays at home and waits for the other human to come back safely? I bet you keep him good company while he worries, and I bet you do assimilate some of those vibes. The world is a crazy place nowadays...but I am sure the pack will be together again safely.
And yes, indeed, you do look so sweet in this picture...vulnerabe and human. Question (because I know your human just loves questions)...are dogs as vulnerable as humans?

Joop, you never look quite comfortable in a car. Do you prefer relying on your own four feet?

It`s nice to keep watch if he`s not worried then maybe you can worry less. Some humans are smart, although I`m sure it seems we`re all silly!

Hey, Joop! We need to take care - have you seen the story (today's Times) about the male swan that has killed TWO dogs in the UK whilst protecting his family? Apparently, he knocked them out with his wings then held them under water!!! Horrors!! Yours Max :-(
