Joop's Dog Log - Monday May 24

Doing the dog thing.
Love to run around in a grain field. Hard to find your way though.
I use sounds and the place of the sun to know where I am.
My human refuses to give a compass.
Lots of little mice in this field, but they sure are quick.
I keep hunting them till I notice a change in the voice of my human calling out for me.
When I hear that nervous high pitch it`s time to stop and go back.
I know he`ll have a cookie ready. No matter how long I keep him waiting,
he gives me a cookie when I return.
He calls it dog psychology. Ha!

And a beautiful field.

Goedemorgen JOOP.

Moin Joop! I do remember this " Dolphin-game "..when Bose was younger and my dog-knowledge was at a smaller level I let him run into the fields too...after a while I only could see something brown jumping out of the grain tops and going down again...they vanished in waves coming up and down and I couldn`t tell who was Bosse and who the deer!! He simply was running and running never hearing my crying...now I know that the deer and their little ones move from the meadows to the fields and the boys are no longer allowed to disturb their livingroom family privacy. If they have something in their noses no cookie will bring them back to me, sometimes I have been waiting for hours...not knowing where they have gone..I was wreck and they had fun!

You`re so lucky. My mom never has a cookie waiting for me, I have to come back just "because." But I`m always afraid I`ll miss something happening, so I come back. Can I come and stay with you? -Sarah.

And you you like that dog psychology, don`t you? But don`t make your humans wait too long... they might get mad at you! But I can understand how interesting those fields are, with lots of smells, animals... I wish I could be there with you... I guess we would be very good friends... I can retrieve and you hunt... how about that???? A smile from Oliver!

When humans run out of things to fight about, they can always stir up the War Between the Sexes. Planet in Turmoil, always. So if you find a happy spot, be sure & mark it, Joop!

Real suckers - these humans. Mine have just returned from a week in France, I have been cared for by my human sister. She's OK, taking me for really long walks each day. Max:-)
