Joop's Dog Log - June 22

Caught me this dove in the underbrush of the trees in our backyard.
He was slow.
I don`t care much for the meat,
but dove feathers are great to floss your teeth with... huh?
My human doesn`t think that`s funny. He always tries to stop me from catching birds.
But I can`t help myself. I just have to chase them. Have to!
And if they don`t fly away in time, they`re mine.
Nature can be cruel... sigh..

Oh, Joop. You are just Nature`s creature, aren`t you, enforcing Nature`s Law of survival of the fittest. The weak are gleaned from the gene pool. The strong live to face other hazards another day. The lure of the chase is strong in you! You are a magnificent dog!

hey Joop and Henk! I came across this photo some weeks ago, but every time I see it again I must laugh and my mood turns into the green section...I love this picture! Joop seems to be so proud and looks so elegant with his paws right up. Did you burry the dove in your garden? We never can do, cause the boys would always dig it out again....!DKB

Just doing what he was born to do. By the way, squab is very tasty.
