Fairbanks has lots of room and the roads are wide. Most of the almost 32.000 citizens of Fairbanks prefer their city to the larger -and maybe just a bit more mundane- Anchorage, and they are right. Suburban living in Fairbanks takes many forms, from the secluded houses on the Chena Ridge Loop to the condo's on University Avenue and Davis Road, and the cabins and shacks in the hills.
