The 'Fort Sarah Bernhardt' near the Pointe des Poulains.

Sarah Bernhardt (1844-1923) was a French actress. In 1894 she bought this fort (dating back to 1870)
on the Poulains site. In total abandonment, the buildings have been redeemed by the Conservatoire
du Littoral which restored them.
For her family and friends Sarah Bernhardt had built two villas nearby: 'Lysiane' villa for her friends,
and villa of 'Les Cinq Parties du Monde' (the five parts of the world) for her family. Nowadays it
serves as an exhibition hall.
