Inscribed in a vast network of French coastal fortifications, Battery Jamblet (18th-20th century)
protected the arsenal of Rochefort and the harbor where warships anchored.
The battery was still operating in 1926, but was abandoned after the Second World War.
Some sections are open for visitors.
