A female Wood Duck perches on a limb about 30 feet above the ground in the forest at Maumee Bay State Park in Oregon, Ohio.
I was surprised when I came across this duck in a tree. First, the tree wasn't adjacent to water. Second, I don't expect to find
a duck high in a tree in a forest, but she seemed very comfortable there. Additional bird images are in my Birds and Animals gallery.
